At Balance and Breath Yoga, we have a team of hand selected certified yoga instructors that have been through the proper yoga teacher training and are well equipped to help you meet your yoga goals.
Elizabeth is an E-RYT200, RYT500, RCYT and YACEP yoga alliance certified instructor and lead trainer in the OYS training program.
Elizabeth was introduced to Yoga several times throughout her life, however was not receptive to the idea until 2013 when her life took an unexpected turn. Since then the practice has truly became a part of her daily life!
Elizabeth is a mother of 3, a grandmother, a partner, and the BB yoga studio owner. In her spare time she enjoys podcast , listening to her favorite band Phish, and truly loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Dee.
Ashlea completed her RYT200 at OMasana Yoga Studio in early 2021 and enjoys leading classes in and around our community.
She has a passion for bringing her dynamic flows and fun playlist to class creating an up beat & empowering atmosphere. Ashlea creates a fun & dynamic mix of strength, flexibility, and flow, allowing her students the perfect amount of challenge for their individual practice.
A yoga practice offers so many benefits on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels, but to sum it up, it just makes you feel good!
As a yoga teacher, Andrew’s style is both playful and challenging, and his ultimate hope is you leave class feeling better in your own body. In his classes, you can expect creativity, perspiration, laughter, challenge, and safety.
Andrew received his Master’s Degree in Wellness Management from Ball State University, and is currently the Director of Community Programs with the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation division at the Indiana Department of Health. He lives in Indianapolis with his husband Tyler and their fur baby Zazu.
Hannah graduated from Purdue in 2020 with a degree in Biochemistry. During her time at Purdue she gained a love for yoga after it was recommended to her to help reduce the effects of stress-induced alopecia.
Outside of class Hannah enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, working out, and cooking. She received her RYT200 training and certification at Balance and Breath in 2022 after falling in love with the small, tightly-knit community there. Hannah hopes to bring fun, playful, and challenging classes to the studio. Her mission in yoga is to build a community and help people realize their strength and power.
Zoe started her yoga journey ten years ago, taking power yoga classes supplemental to her dance training. Zoe danced for 18 years, and in that training developed a love for movement and a deep awareness of the body.
After a stretch of life-changing events in 2019, she started taking her yoga practice more seriously, along with meditation and somatic movement. During this time, she decided she wanted to pursue movement as a medium to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
She completed her RYT200 in 2022 and strives to help others strengthen their mind-body connection through various yogic practices and encourage the beautiful healing journey that comes with that.
Misty began her yoga journey 12 years ago as a form of physical therapy after having back surgery. Little did she know that yoga would open her world to a new passion and path in life. Throughout the 12 years, Misty has experienced the benefits of yoga mentally, physically, and spiritually.
After years of yoga being a hobby, something was telling her that it was time to make a move toward a long wanted goal. Misty completed her certification in RYT 200 course.
She enjoys a good mix of power hot yoga, slow flow vinyasa, and restorative. In her classes you’ll get a good workout and relaxation experience.
Haley has practiced yoga on and off as a fitness routine since college, but began a regular yoga practice at the beginning of 2022 at Balance & Breath after injuring her knee as a long distance runner. She discovered that yoga not only helped her to physically heal, but also transformed her mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Yoga became a necessity in her life after developing a love for running and fitness, and the close community of teachers and students at Balance & Breath led her to become energized about the idea of teaching yoga to others. She received her RYT200 training and certification from the studio in 2022.
Haley loves a high energy yoga class, but is also passionate about helping athletes use yoga for injury prevention and recovery.
Marissa is a healer of all sorts. While working with the background management of the studio, she also enjoys leading mediations, teaching aura painting classes, and giving readings to her clients!
Marissa is a certified psychic medium and reiki practitioner. Practicing yoga has brought her a love for movement matched with breath. Yoga allows her to center her energy, take care of her body, and keep her mental health on point.
